Watching Whales...again
Last year, my friends and I went to Cape May on a whalewatching expedition. We saw lots of water, sun, Cape May's WWII watchtowers, lighthouse, bounced up and down on the bow of the whaleboat (like riding a galloping horse over the waves), and generally enjoyed the feeling of being at sea.
No whales, not even little bitty ones (dolphins are just tiny toothed whales).
The policy of the whaleboat is to give rainchecks if you don't see any cetaceans. So we came back, with tickets for a free ride.
This time was a bit different...
