vintage stuff, thrifty crafts, and recycled wonders
things to do with river rocks, sand, ModPodge, tule, canvas,
your recycling bin, action figures, old toys, sea shells and other stuff
I cannot go out in the above craft (a 17.5' sea kayak) without coming back with buckets of sand, river rocks and sea shells. I filled bowls and jars and aquariums...
...now what?
I present: ModPodge. Crafty glop that dries clear and shiny (or matte, or satin, or whatever), works as glue, as a top coat to protect and as a medium for creating what bricklayers call "mud" out of the buckets of sand I brought back. Apply mud over recycled bottle or jar, press in rocks or shells, voile! Faerie house, superhero supersecret headquarters, or nice Christmas village from your recycling bin.

faerie gardens
An old plastic bottle from the recycling bin becomes a faerie house. A potted plant becomes a miniature garden. Put those Schleich and Safari faeries in a habitat, not on a shelf. Add faeries to your outdoor garden. Recycle old Barbies. Here're some ideas.
beach party
Play with your toys, take them to the beach (just add camera) and have fun...
