In my book "Black Horses", Val and her wild black mare, and friends set out to save the world... or something. Most of them aren't really superheroes...and they have no clue where the journey will lead.
Where it does lead is through a landscape and waterscape familiar to me; the woods of southcentral PA, the marshes and creeks of the DelMarVa Peninsula, and the barrier islands east at the edge of the sea.
Of course most of their journey is somewhere in the multiverse, not in our primary world...but it is only an older, cleaner version of a landscape and waterscape of uniqueness and importance.
2022.06.03: the book is off to the publishers and will be available June 18 at our Splash event in Dover PA. After that, stay tuned!
In the meantime, there are a whole lot of photos and the odd sketch from the sketchbook...
