needlepunch
Needlepunch is an embroidery technique, the origins of which might be ancient Egypt, or Russia, or Germany ...or something... Basically it's like making a latchhook rug, only smaller and less fluffy... though still pretty fluffy. You have a pointy object loaded with thick thread and stab a piece of cloth (stretched over an embroidery hoop) repeatedly. The results can become a fabulous quilt or pillow or wall decor. Level of Fabulousness depending on the skill of the artist making the original pattern... (the less said about some of these patterns the better)... Uncle Bob's enthusiasm knew no bounds, regardless of the artistic quality (or lack thereof) of the pattern.
