The realm of the Wood Elves (Greenwood the Great, Eryn Lasgalen, or Mirkwood) was always my favorite place in Middle Earth. It's the home of Legolas, and Thranduil, and butlers who get drunk on Dorwinion wine and let invisible Hobbits make off with the keys. It's a place of parties in the woods, and the Elvish Way With All Good Beasts, and kings who ride giant megaloceroses. Just watch out for the giant spiders....
